Overall Personality:
Zack is a typical caring, considerate guy that would put others before himself. He grew up around no so loving family members, so you could say that, luckily, that didn't refected of him. He was taught kindness and pretty much all the other 'Good Guy' qualities, you could call him a 'sweet talker' also. Jace has a way with words that just works toward his advantage, but unlike other most guys he doesn't take advantage of it, or even acknowledge it for that matter. Zack is a laid back and casual type of guy, he gets arrogant sometimes, but not to the point of obnoxiousness.
Being romantic and spontaneous are other qualites. Zack has always been the good guy, he does things an doesn't really expect anything in return. He is a little random at times, but usually random is nothing to be too worried about. He would be the type of guy to give flowers to his girlfriend, just because or flirt harmlessly, it's just his way of being nice. Hanging out with girls and dating usually goes over well with Zack. He's thoughtful and creative almost all the time, the general good spirited guy. It would take a lot for Zack to get angry or upset, but thinking about his broken family get him a little depressed.
At times Zack can be pretty arrogant also, especially when he knows he right. That side only comes out every once in a while though. Zack knows that he's smarter then most people but does a good job at keeping that to himself. He won't brag in you face or try to put you down if he proves something right over something wrong. Zack acts as a problem solver, he can think things out before coming up with a solution. You could call him the shy type, but he's just less outspoken then others.

Overall History:
[[Okay, I basically went off of what I could get from Jay's history. Some of it was consfusing with the wording, names and mistakes but the I think the beginning matches up with his]] [[Of course, since they live with different parents their histories would end up different]][/i]
Little Zachary was born to Grayson and Jayne Matthews, he was their second born, and second son, three years after his older brother. He grew up in all his life, with his family. His mom and dad were proud parents of two boys. Zack grew up having both parents to take care of him, a plus, that others would have longed for. His mom and his dad got along great and always had love for each other, despite the children running around. They would work, cook, clean and still have time to play with their kids. They were the perfect role models, through the years. His mom and dad both had stable jobs and were doing fine with their boys, finacially, emotionally, and family wise.
Then after a while, his parents started to argue. His father worked long hours and his mother felt as if she had too do all the work with the children, and then take care of her "ungrateful husband" on top of that. So the fighting continued until Jayne just picked up and left. This included all of her things and little Zack. But wait, Zack had and older brother, whom she didn't take with him. Zack's mom just packed her things and left without him. Zack was only 3 when his parents split, and his mom had decided to move out to Austin.
Zack and his mom got themselves and apartment in the city and started their lives fresh. Zack lived a normal life, he went to school, made friends, and grew up just like any other kid. He was still young and had no idea what was going on between his parents. Throughout the years Jayne got herself a lawyer and had the divorce papers mailed to Zack's father. He signed them, and it was official, his parents were divored after their sudden break up years ago.
When Zack was about 8 his mom had met someone else, a big time movie director with three kids of his own, Michael Nichols. He and Zack's mom had met, talked and dated within a two year time span. By this time Zack was already growing acustom to seeing/playing with his future siblings. They had met numerous times throughout the two years and sort of grew on eachother. They both assumed it would be important to get the children comfortable before Mike asked her to marry him. She said yes, and they got married a year later.
Now both families were living together under one roof, at the Nichols residence. As time went on, Mike had gotten close with Zack and Jayne had gotten close with Mike's kids. Zack took a liking to Mike, even though most kids may have disliked their step-parents, he was happily fine with his. Each of the adults took in the their new children as their own and they became a happy family. As Zack grew up he started to ask his mother questions about his real father and brother. She responded often, but usually avoided the questions or dismissed them with a quick response, so Zack gave up, even though he really wanted to find out.
Throughout his teenage years Zack and his siblings grew up around eachother and became very close. He had gotten two additional siblings and his family was close, he loves them all to death. Mike had taken in Zack as if he was his own and Jayne did the same. In the back of his mind, Zack had always wondered about his father and brother. But those thoughts slipped his mind, as he got caught up in his own life.
Zack went to school, and eventually graduated highschool. He went to college out in Lakewood separated from his family. His still close to them, even though he's out own his own. He's going to school and pursing his career in modeling. He's gotten a fiance' and is completely in love with her. Every once in a while he'll think about his father and brother but his life is great, and he wouldn't want it any other way.

Okay, so the 'Cut-Throat Jacen' wasn't the typical sub-personality that appeared often, but he had really been on the defensive. He had barely said a sentence to Noah, and already he was starting to regret the way he was acting. He doubted himself often and second guessed almost everything. It was like he couldn't make up his mind until he analyzed the options first. He also had no idea what his brother was thinking, and Jacen was the sort of guy to actually care about what people thought of him, or in general. He hated not knowing people's thoughts and that was one of his problems: not knowing how to deal with that. So to compensate for this, he usually put on his best game face and stayed behind his shield. He was sort of going through the same thing with Amberlynn, but without the guarded expressions.
Jacen's childhood was a little dark, but still he had a few last minute memories also. He had the good ones from before his mother died and his dad turned into a alcoholic, those he kinda wanted to forget. Yet it was the first times he and his brother had started to become close. He had the bad memories from after his mother's death, when it use to be just him and his brother. And those he wanted to just erase completly. Now, Jacen has made knew memories with his adopted family. Even though they were a little late for his destroyed childhood, he would never forget his first day living with the Briggs. He loved them and couldn't have been happier when they told him that they wanted to adopt them.
Being adopted didn't make him forget completly, but it was a start. He had already gotten along with his brother and sister long before Mr. and Mrs. Briggs made the decision to adopt him and make him part of the family for good. The plus side, was that the Briggs were pretty wealthy, but that wasn't why he was excited to be a part of the family. It was the first time he had been happy in a while. His father was a pretty laid back guy, mostly because he was so strict and uptight when it came to being on the Supreme Court. His mother was sort of uptight also and a little snobish, but she sort of had to be. She was a fashion designer, so showing off and impressing her rich friends were always a priority. That was one thing Jace couldn't conform to, was showing off with arrogance and acting all uptight. His siblings were use to it, but he was still a little new to it all. And yeah, he did call his parents Mom and Dad. At first he was reluctant to do so, but it just became natural later. He wasn't dismissing his mother in any way, and loved her just as much as if she were alive. He just figured it was okay and his mother would be happy.
What would have also made his mother happy probably to be able to see Jacen, and Noah, both grown up. But he and his brother weren't exactly on the best of terms, but for the most part that was because Jacen wanted answers. So when Noah bumped into him, he couldn't help but asked since the questions have been bottled up inside him for so long. He sat here for a while and watched his brother range of emotions, so far there were only a few but Jace was keeping count, for what ever reason. But when Noah said that he knew about Jacen's adoption, his eyebrows rose a little to the surprise. How could have heard it from any of Jacen's friends, or through the gossip around school. He watched his brother fiddle around before wiping his eyes, and that sort of made Jace raise his eyebrows again, in surprise. To reduce Noah Tucker to tears should have been almost impossible, from what he's heard. But okay, maybe Jacen was just exaggerating, maybe Noah had something in his eye or whatever. Yeah.
When Noah finished telling him that he use to drive up to the 'Briggs Family Mansion', Jacen exhaled. "So you could track me down but you couldn't talk to me?" he questioned, but Jace was one to talk. He sort of wished Noah wouldn't have done that. First of all it would have been better to just go over and talk to him, and secondly it was kind of stalkerish. How awkward would that have been to have your dad drag your brother out of the car because he thought he was some kind of prowler or something. On the outside Jacen wanted to tell him off about how he didn't really need him to watch over him. But now wasn't the time, they were barely introduced...again. "Why get a lawyer?" he added. Normally people would hire a private eye or something like that.
He listened to him describe one day to Jace that he barely remembered. He had had so many good times with the Briggs that a summer's day outside compared to nothing. But as he continued, Jacen opened up a little. "...Yeah, being adopted was the happiest I've been since...you know." he explained turning away. He heard his brother talking about how he only wanted happiness for him, and it wasn't that hard to understand now that he was older. He exhaled again, heavily, "...Look, don't worry about it..." he started with a shrug. "...I guess I understand now, why you did what you did" he spoke, this time with a sentence and not so defensive. Jacen was letting his guard down, a little.
